I read all of the time; but I never write reviews. This book merited one. Angela Hunt obviously knows the Lord AND is a great story-teller. Hard to find in the Christian fiction world these days. Great plot, great read- very enjoyable and uplifting- all at the same time. Thank you Angela!

This intriguing novel focuses on the idea of genetic manipulation. It is a well-written, smart and thoughtful story that is both a science thriller and love story at once, with a lot to say about those who have money and power. I had a hard time putting it down, and those I have loaned it to have said the same. In addition, the author has a way with words and paints some beautiful and poetic images that radiate emotion. Absolutely worth reading.
This book was amazing. The story was believable as well as emotional. Angela Hunt captivated me by the way she brings a living picture to every detail, without going on and on trying to describe it. It touches both sides of our strongest human emotions; the extrems a mother will go to protect her child, and the masculine protection a man has for a women existing after tragedy, then lured into something no one ever saw coming. It was amazingly real, and seriously one of those books you can't put down.
It is scary to think that this could really happen. With laws
And rules for research. The protection is there. But men and women can violate these laws and create perfection. We all seek for this without understanding that only God is perfect and we must depend on him not or own self.
This book was very thought provoking and believable about a young widow who wants to have her late husband's baby from the sperm he had saved before he died. It is exciting as it brings in greedy powerful scientists and their donors who lack ethical standards and a Christian woman trying to honor God.
